We recently hosted a wonderful event where parents, children, and youth gathered to learn from Ms. Marietta Murton, who shared an evening of culture, communication, and warmth. Dinner was generously sponsored by Resilient West, and the UWG Campus Center provided an outstanding venue with excellent technology and atmosphere. We extend our sincere thanks to board member Ms. Sarah Gross, youth leader Jackson Brandenburg, Strategy and Collaborative Chair Ms. Brittney Berry, and UWG interns Ms. Chakari English and Ms. Tanaya McCutcheon. We are grateful to everyone who attended and made this event a success. Watch the video. 

Ms. Marina Rogers guided us in the wonderful art of listening. We watched an inspiring short video and then we unleashed our creativity as we painted rocks. These painted rocks serve as thoughtful gifts for others or cherished reminders of how important it is to listen—both to ourselves and those around us. Whether being kind comes easily or requires encouragement, these activities will equip us with valuable tools to embrace the art of listening.

Alexis Jarrett shared exciting ideas to carry our kindness journey throughout the holidays, ensuring that our own voices are included in the kindness movement. We work together with Resilient West and our Carroll County Youth Mental Health Task Force to bring these type of events!

We are thankful to 3:16 Healthcare, for sponsoring the event, the dinner was delicious and we had enough rocks to paint. Thank you!

We are thankful for our partnership with community and leaders. We had our dinner for our first time gathering Youth & Parents Café together in one building. We had dinner sponsored by the Key Family, our parents stayed with Ms. Marina, the youth with Ms. Alexis, and we had Ms. Britney with children. Thank you! 

We are thankful for our partnership with Carroll EMC who sponsored Parents & Youth Cafés for March, April, & May. 

We also want to thank DPH District 4, Ms. Staci Bagley for presenting on Vaping. Our parents learned a lot. Many thanks to Ms. Jamie Brandenburg, and Sources of Strength for partnering with us in March. 

An unforgettable day filled with kindness. From kindness to families in our County and City to being thankful, painting event, and dinner! We had a beautiful time! Thank you!

May 7th & 8th, S.T.A.N.D. had their end of the year breakfasts at Central Middle School And Central High School. Our youth leader Ms. Gracie Warren's last two club meetings! Thank you Gracie for all that you have done, do and will continue to do! 

We want to give special thanks to Carroll EMC, Ryan and Taylor you always go far and beyond for our youth and community! Thank you!

We launched our first Community Health / Wellness & Resources Fair. Many thanks to all attendees and the special partnership with Health Equity Navigator Program, and a donation from Community Foundation of West Georgia's "On The Table."

Our next one will be August 3, 2024 at 

Tabernacle Baptist Church from 10am to 2pm. 

We received a donation from Walmart Foundation. We were able to provide various events to support our youth!

We thank angels from Carroll EMC for donating the lunch for all parents and trainer for the Triple P Parenting classes that were done in Spanish.
