With this grant, we are energized to infuse our Parents and Youth Cafés with fresh ideas and resources. The generous thousand-dollar Spark Good Local Grant from Facility #722 lets us create events that truly help our families thrive. Thank you, Walmart! The spark of possibility is glowing brighter than ever in our community!
We encourage parents to start getting ready for school
Children learn by example, and attending school is a key habit families can encourage. We are sharing a video to help parents start meaningful conversations with their children about preparing for the new school year. County Schools open on August 6, giving families two weeks to prepare. Carrollton City Schools open on August 10, allowing a bit more time. Please watch the video and use it to begin important discussions with your children. These conversations are valuable at every age, and now is an ideal time to establish routines that help students arrive at school on time and ready to learn.
The Power of the Purse Grant
We received a two thousand grant to expand our Parents and Youth Cafés. The Power of the Purse always supports unique efforts that help our families thrive.
Our Youth Advisory Board hosted a youth community conversation.

Carroll county youth mental health task force to parter with central high school and partners to host suicide prevention week!
This is our second year to partner with Central High School and local counselors and partners to host this important event to bring awareness and education about suicide prevention.
